Nigel Mullaney has been producing and composing music since he was aged 11 and his published works have seen his music licenced for use in numerous TV shows and movies including extensive work for Netflix, DC, Marvel, AMC, Fox, HBO and the BBC.
The 90’s saw Nigel working as an in-demand session programmer and remixer for labels such as Zomba, Universal, BMG, London records and Virgin Music. His remix and production work includes such diverse artists as Madonna, George Harrison and Peter Gabriel. His active participation in the experimental breakbeat / electronica scene saw him spinning tunes up and down the country as an in demand DJ and live electronic artist.
Nigel’s continuing work with renowned Occult author Ray Sherwin led to two musical projects which went on to achieve cult status, the seminal “Best Before The End Of The World” and “Music By Mirrors” released on DiN records. For the last 20 years Nigel has headed up the production team at Phoenix Creative Media alongside award winning songwriter Jonathan Paul Jowett. Working in their state of the art production facilities in the National parks Nigel continues to compose and orchestrate for large scale TV & Film projects.
His numerous collaborations with Ian Boddy have led to extensive touring with the DiN label, many public appearances at festivals and modular events, the release of a live album “ Schemes And Ruses” and Nigel’s first solo album release - the critically acclaimed “31 Days”.
Nigel is thrilled to be working with Bluetech and Behind the Sky Music. “The Navigator” is a collection of intricate and exquisite tracks recorded over the lockdown of summer 2020 utilising Nigel’s extensive collection of Modular, Vintage and analog synthesizers. The music represented in “The Navigator” is a personal journey of discovery and expression, as Mr Mullaney chooses to step out from behind the curtain of media composition and follow a path of true musical expression.
